Digital Media Buyer, Media Department 

We're looking for a talented Media Buyer to join our growing Media Team at PHG! This role is ideal for a digital media professional who enjoys executing campaigns, analyzing performance, and working collaboratively to deliver exceptional results for clients. 

As a Media Buyer, you'll be responsible for building, managing, optimizing, and reporting on digital media campaigns across multiple client accounts. You'll work closely with Digital Strategists, Analytics, and fellow Media Buyers to ensure campaigns are executed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with client goals. 

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of the digital media landscape and hands-on experience buying media across platforms including Google, Paid Social, and Programmatic. 

What You’ll Do: 

Buying, Pacing & Optimization 

  • Build and launch digital campaigns across multiple advertising platforms. 
  • Execute media buys across Google, Paid Social, and Programmatic platforms while monitoring and optimizing campaigns to meet client KPIs. 
  • Monitor campaign pacing, budgets, and performance, making proactive optimizations throughout the campaign lifecycle. 
  • Troubleshoot delivery issues and communicate opportunities or concerns.  
  • Manage client media budgets and assist with monthly media billing for assigned accounts. 

Reporting & Insights 

  • Analyze campaign performance and provide insights that help inform optimization strategies and client reporting. 
  • Partner with the Analytics team to ensure accurate tracking, attribution, and measurement. 
  • Identify trends and opportunities that can improve future campaign performance. 

Media Planning & Collaboration 

  • Collaborate with Digital Strategists to develop media recommendations, platform selections, audience targeting, and campaign approaches. 
  • Provide platform expertise during campaign planning to help develop effective media plans. 
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with overall marketing objectives. 

Platform Knowledge & Best Practices 

  • Stay current on platform updates, new advertising products, and industry trends across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and programmatic partners. 
  • Apply media buying best practices to campaign execution and optimization. 
  • Share platform learnings and collaborate with the broader Media team to continuously improve campaign performance. 

About You: 

  • You have strong experience. You bring 2+ years of hands-on digital media buying experience across multiple platforms, including Google, Paid Social, and/or Programmatic. 
  • You understand campaign performance. You have experience working with analytics, attribution, and measurement systems and understand how they support campaign optimization. 
  • You're detail-oriented. You have excellent organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • You're analytical. You enjoy digging into campaign performance, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations. 
  • You're collaborative. You enjoy working cross-functionally and thrive in a team-oriented environment. 
  • You're eager to learn. You're motivated to expand your platform expertise, stay current on industry trends, and continuously improve your skills. 
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’re adaptable, organized, and energized by working on multiple accounts and initiatives. 
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution is required. 
  • Google Ads and Google Analytics certifications are required. 
  • Experience with Looker Studio is a plus.

Total compensation for this role is designed to be competitive with the market. The anticipated salary range for this Syracuse, NY-based position is $65,000 to $75,000 per year. The final offer will depend on the candidate's experience, skills, abilities, and geographic location, along with other business and organizational considerations.
